The annual Turkish Culture and Literature Symposium, organized by Robert College's Turkish Language and Literature Department, has become a tradition. Each year a theme is selected, and experts in the field discuss the topic. This year the 13th symposium was held on Saturday, April 14, and the theme was Fantasy Literature.
The opening speech was given by Ezel Akay. The guest speakers at the morning and afternoon sessions were Pelin Aslan Ayar, Barış Müstecaplıoğlu, Yiğit Değer Bengi, Hakan Bıçakcı and Doğu Yücel.
The department teachers who commented on the symposium said: "It was a great pleasure for us to host them all at a same event at Robert College. The guest speakers gave individual talks at the two sessions, and afterwards answered the questions of the attendees." Robert College student Beril Babatürk L10 designed the poster for the symposium, and she said: "It was a great experience for me."
At the end of the symposium, the guests gathered in the garden and enjoyed the beautiful spring day.
